On solidarity, to our sapphic+ community:

We are experiencing a very intense shift in policing within our beloved city and it’s outskirts. What’s happening in Los Angeles is not far off from what’s happening worlds away in places like Gaza, Sudan, the Congo…and the list goes on. As we state every week — the freedom movement is global and intersectional.

If ever there is a time to speak up for what’s right in the world, it’s now. Whether it’s demonstrating peacefully or volunteering to support mutual aid efforts—whatever form your activism takes, it makes a difference.

Sapphic LA’s daily practice is to share Instagram stories of immediate need-to-knows as it relates to peaceful demonstrations, and tips for community care; if you need resources, check that out.

This is also your loving reminder to take care of yourselves so you can better support others and more sustainably speak up against authoritarianism. Stay well besties <3
